COMPONENTS OF HUMAN GROWTH & DEVELOPMENT
Human development is a branch of psychology with the goal of understanding people - how they develop, grow, and change throughout their lives.

AGE & PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT
Growth and development includes not only the physical changes that occur from infancy to adolescence, but also some of the changes in emotions, personality, behaviour, thinking and speech that children develop as they begin to understand and interact with the world around them. Skills such as taking a first step or smiling for the first time are called developmental milestones.
All children develop at their own pace, but these milestones give you a general idea of the changes to expect as your child grows.
Note: Each stage of development assumes that the preceding stages have been successfully achieved.
DIFFERENT AGES
Chronological Age: is the number of years you've been alive. Your biological age is how old your body seems, based on a number of factors, including how your chromosomes have changed over time.
Skeletal Age: is an interpretation of skeletal maturity. A child's bone age may or may not approximate his or her chronologic age (the actual age of the child in years according to his or her birth date). Many factors influence the progression of skeletal development, including nutrition, genetics, hormones, and disease states.
Developmental Age: is the age at which they function emotionally, physically, cognitively and socially.
